Hudson’s name being tossed about a lot in here. We may indeed be on the verge of a Hallman era. Let’s hope O is not Curly.
he was a rainout against McNeese from doing it his last full season here. Miles has to geaux. but pretending he was a any worse than a 8 win coach as an absolute floor is being dishonest now we have a guy whose ceiling might be 6 games.
if O reaches Curley status, it would actually be an improvement over his last attempt at being a head coach.
Let's hope he doesn't win just enough to keep his job. We want to be relevant which is why Les' 8-10 wins wasn't enough. With Alleva he will keep O around if we are 6-8 wins a season. If he is successful I hoping it is to the degree which we improve from where we were. So far it looks like the bottom fell out!!!
Too many people are offering a false choice: Miles or Orgeron. The answer is neither. Miles took an A+ program and gradually turned it into a B- program. Orgeron has taken a B- program and quickly made it a D or an F. My proposal: The day after LSU loses its 7th game this season, fire Alleva. If the Tigers get bombed by Miami and Auburn in September 2018, fire Orgeron and let the new AD do a proper hire.
I think this is the most likely outcome. Unless we get Jeremy Foley out of retirement, this is going to be a crappy year to be on the market. We will be competing with Ole Miss and Tennessee at a minimum, and possibly A&M, for a new hire. But if Orgeron loses out or only picks up 1 SEC win, then he will absolutely be gone before this calendar year is up.
