Finding Middle Ground What I mean is, the sky is in fact "not falling". Now before you point the homer, pumper finger, hear me out. It is 100% Miles fault that our Kids on O are playing this bad and what is worse is that last night was the first game this season LSU put together decent drives with about 85% good play calling. Some can say that it is not Miles fault for kids getting pens and throwing ints, well I say Miles needs to start PUNISHING these kids in some way. I am sure there are PLENTY of kids on the bench that would LOVE some PT. True a pen here or there is not Miles fault, but it is when it happens every game and about 90% of the pens kill our drives...... We absolutely TRIED to kill every good drive we have. Now, on to other things like yardage. In this aspect, I was very impressed. Not so much of the end result, but of what could be the start of a comeback for this O. I know, probably 90% of you think I am stupid, but the signs are there. 430+ yards with pens and 4 turnovers is something.... Name a game that LSU got dominated in? In the past 2 years? 0 Now name a game that LSU had the chance to win, but shot themselves in the FOOT? That would be every game minus LSU-Aub 2009 right? I sure think so.. Here is my middle ground which solely resides in faith that Miles had a Jesus moment yesterday after the MIRACULAS gift he received.... My Middle ground is simply putting faith in that this team full of great players that will take it upon themselves and rise above the flaws of the coaching staff. That they will make every effort to make the most out of each play. That they will be consciously aware to not make drive ending penalties and play the game until the very end. LSU!
I noticed that, too. Have to remember that Tennessee is not a good football team. And LSU isn't making fewer mistakes lately, they're making MORE mistakes as time goes on. But the difference of having ANY vertical passing threat is an important ingeredient. Just have to fix the other crap.
Very true, and this is a "woulda shoulda coulda" but LSU has the tools, they just need the right handy man to finish the job...... If you know what I am saying..
