He was hurt his junior year, letters, emails etc were sent, his HS coach is/
was not exactly a salesman for his players as is the case with many HS coaches. What's funny is the family has strong ties to LSU baseball as several had played for Bailey when he was at Denham and an older cousin pitched on 2 teams that won NC in the 90's. Go figure.

Maybe depending on needs of the team, and who else they recruited, your nephew just didn't fit into the plans.

    How right you are! :thumb:

But having said that, realistically speaking, I think we're still 2 years away from being ledgit Omaha contenders. Now, that's not saying we can't sneak in our way in out of no where, but I think it's evident we won't be on anyone's radar if we did.

I would consider a year of a solid SEC record and good showing in the conference tourny a huge improvement for this season.

I wouldn't be surprised if at the end of the year we made the NCAA's again but I would be stunned if we advanced--let alone host one.

But, again, I would be happy with taking solid "steps" over the next few seasons:

    1. Get into the SEC tourny
    2. Get into the NCAA tourny
    3. Host a regional
    4. Advance to Super Regional
    5. Return to Omaha
    6. Win the whole damn thing!

I think #1 and 2 are achievable this season providing we get a few breaks here and there and our young guys prove to have developed even more since the end of last season.
