They won't ever put that rule in there. But you're right, Texas might benefit from OU playing a very revenge-minded Mizzou team that was beaten by OU in the very same situation. OU ruined Mizzou's chance at a national title (and we thank you). Payback is a biznitch. Mizzou 44, OU 41 I am calling it right now. OU's defense sucks away from home.
Fixed  (Not that we, as LSU fans, have any room to talk) Edit: Actually, looking at the stats, LSU's defense is giving up fewer yards per game than OU and is giving up only 1 more point per game than OU. Taking out 7 pick-sixes makes LSU's scoring defense "better."
Okay, I knew that OU's defense stunk, and to find out it's even worse than OUR defense? I mean, that's really saying something right there.
Did not know where to put my little rant but I will put it here. It bugs me that all these so called experts are forgetting the reason the BCS was created. It was designed to determine who is #1 and #2 after the last week of the season. Any ranking before that and the order is meaningless until the last week of the season. But everyone is blaming the BCS for the UT/OU debate when the blame should be on the Big 12 conference officials who decided to make the BCS the tie breaker to determine who goes to the BIG12 Championship. Why would they use a poll that is meaningless until after the last week of the season to determine who goes to the Championship before the last week of the season? If they would have used head to head as the tie breaker, UT would have been in the B12CG fighting to head to the BCSNC. If UT lost OU would be heading to the BCSNC. Pretty simple if you ask me and I expect them to change the tie breaker order pretty soon.
I vote for a Texas/Oklahoma rematch for the Big 12 championship. Winner of that game plays the winner of Florida/Alabama for the National Championship.
The AP has: #1 Bama (62) #2 Florida (3) #3 Texas (zero) #4 Oklahoma (zero) There is a fair chance we will have a split national title this year. If the winner of #1 Bama/#2 FL doesn't go to the BCSNG, and wins their bowl game, they will win the AP National Title. If the winner of #1 Bama/#2 FL does go to the BCSNG, and they win, there will be no split title. If #4 Oklahoma beats Bama/FL in the BCSNG, and #3 Texas wins their bowl game, Texas will win the AP National Title. If #3 Texas beats Bama/FL in the BCSNG, there will be no split title.
To put it in very simple terms: By definition, the BCS formula is not complete. There is still one more week left in the season.
