And if he had the ability to see how the entire game was going to develop before it happened, this would be sound reasoning....unless of course, this was a smartass comment.
I do not blame Miles at all for going for it. If you can not make 4th and short in your own stadium then it is on you. What I do criticize Miles for is the pathetic play calling. When they ran Williams up the middle I knew it was coming both times. It is too much of a tendency. They should have pounded Hilliard or Williams from the TB with Neighbors at FB. Or play action pass.
No other way to explain it. Always the same stuff. When they got in the RZ that one time in the 1st half I said to myself, "bet they don't score" Hey at least Bo is proud of his student
"If" my aunt had a pair of nuts, she'd be my uncle. There's no shortage of decisions that can be second guessed, particularly in hindsight. IF The Tigers had been better prepared and executed the plays better they'd have won. If the coaching staff had made better decisions they'd have won. If the 1st qtr field goal is kicked, the 2 extra points are kicked instead of failed conversions, the last TD is followed by a successful 2 pt conversion, the Tigers win by 1!!! That's a lot of ifs.
Or if we pick up 2 yards we would've been winning. Early in the game, at home...if we can't pick up a couple yards we deserve to lose. I like the call.
Four plays to make 2 yards at your house against a team you've beaten 14 straight years. Yes, the call wasn't the problem, should have been 7.
