and it strikes me as a bit hypocritical that so many people who cry "socialist!" at those who seek universal healthcare turn right around and demand so much of FEMA when their own lives have been devastated. What can be more socialistic than a government program that lends financial assistance, services, and other resources to citizens almost automatically upon a disaster without prequalifications? Not much. It's quite rational (albeit often uncharitable) to want to draw the line somewhere.... it's quite rational to oppose certain individual socialistic programs.... it's NOT rational to oppose certain governmental propositions merely upon an ad hominem, especially when it's a pot namecalling a kettle.
The fed government should have 3 jobs protect the borders, promote interstate commerce and promote international commerce. Fema falls in to number 2. But it is abused
Rex amid all this disaster Rexie is torturously grasping and groping for something to knock conservatives and Trump. As the water recedes his criticism will rise from his sewer mouth.
Reminds me of the classic photo of three senior citizens, sitting on Medicare funded electric scooters, at an early TEA Party rally, holding signs decrying public spending on entitlements!
