Look man, I now you're a Tiger fan who bleeds Purple & Gold. But you also have to deal with reality which is often unpleasant. I enjoyed Cholly Mac's tenure as our coach. But I also understand and accept why he was fired.
It's not about having your claws dug into something that happened in the past compadre. It's about being optimistic and looking forward. Here our buddy makes a great post about an upcoming game and you walk in with your gas can and burn it to the ground. Sure we all know the truth, sometimes it's better to just back away and let it be. Freaking party pooper
I was in Colorado for a few months in the 70's and was able to listen to LSU games on WWL. Ferguson: "First and 10 for the Tigers on the Ole Miss 48 yard line. Tigers line up in the I and the handoff is to Charlie Alexander off tackle. Alexander roars through the line shedding tacklers and is finally brought down. The ball is spotted on the Ole Miss 47 and it will be second and 9."
Apparently you haven't read the whole thread which isn't surprising. You need to watch an old Jack Nicholson movie in which he plays a Marine lawyer. You might gain some insight.
I understand why he was fired just like I understand why Les Miles was fired. I am not disagreeing with your post at all. You have to understand I grew up the son of a coach. My dad was never fired but some of his friends were. I understand why but it doesn't mean they aren't good men or I didn't appreciate what they did and how hard they worked. In coaching your only as good as your last game and every fan in the stands knows more than you. Your absolutely right in that Charleys time was at an end and it didn't end the way he wanted. Just like Les's was. I am grateful to both of them for being tigers that is all im saying.
