No you didn't, you misrepresented me. You can't find one thread where I expressed hatred for the rich. Not one. Good luck with that.

I don't hate the rich, that's just what SabanFan and his ilk say when they can't argue against the point's I'm making. I'm fairly rich myself and getting richer, wealth ain't the point. Tax fairness among the different economic classes is the point.

I advocate fairness for the middle class and can't understand why so many right-wingers kiss the asses of the rich. You benefit nothing from it. If you have some points of your own then make them. Don't try to make mine.

We are all entitled to feel any way we want to. Say anything you want to say, if you have anything to say. Just don't misrepresent my position. I speak for myself just fine. Thank you.

Note it well. There are those who hate the rich, there are those who kiss their asses. I'm neither. I advocate for the middle class.

And therein lies the answer. I am not looking to "benefit" from anyone but myself. My sweat, my blood, my tears. I'm not going to pitch a hissy fit because someone else has this and they aren't sharing. What a croc of sh!t. I am fine with the top 10% pulling the MOST of the weight that they already do and don't think it is their burden to strap on a few million more boothangers for sh!ts and giggles. You said you were "fairly rich" I think it was. You did say that or something close right? You aren't going to post right behind me and say I misrepresented you? Well keep that line of thinking amigo and you won't have that problem anymore. Lets see how sharing you are when they are after your slice of pie.

When have I ever asked the rich to "share"? That is not what I advocate. I advocate taking away their unfair tax advantages. Please stop inventing my positions.

WHAT DO THEY DO? WHAT WEIGHT? Talk about a load of crap. The richest 10% make the bulf of their money by doing nothing. They simple rake in the interest dividends and capital gains on their amassed wealth. They hire nobody and the wealth doesn't "trickle down". They pay a tiny amount on this income compared to what people who earn a salary pay on their income. Why do you think these people deserve to pay less taxes than you or I?

The point, that you missed, is that richness is relative. Our middle class is so broad that people just scraping by and people living very well off are all included. But still, the middle class earns a living from salaries and business profits, even though most of us have investments that we get a small break on.

The ultra rich that I'm talking about is the top 1%. The multi-millionaires and billionaires. They don't need the extra wealth that the Bush tax breaks gave them on their investment incomes, but it costs the country quite a lot. Income is income. Make them pay the same as the rest of us on their incomes.

That money earning the investment income did not fall from the sky. It was earned and they are reaping the benefits. I don't begrudge them that. Also, eliminating the "unfair" tax breaks won't mean a hill of beans in the current economic picture. Do you realize that if every working American was taxed at 100% it would still not balance the budget?

Boy are they reaping . . . Look, one more time, I don't begrudge them their interest, dividends, and capital gains. Only the unfair tax breaks they get on them.

Every little bit helps. It's going to take both cuts and taxes to balance the budget. And we actually have to start producing surpluses before we can begin paying down the debt.

Hmm well that just isn't enough then. I wonder what else they could take. Maybe we shouldn't be allowed to have more than 1 ca...scratch that, maybe we shouldn't have ANY cars. Nah he doesn't see it.

Different point of view. They deserve their breaks as much as Sheila Won'twork deserves Government funded prenatal care, childcare, maternity expenses and AFDC just because she's in perennial heat during the po folks rut.

You are starting to sound like Paul Teutul Senior . . . and making less sense.
