Here is a list with my projections on who will be in for the 1st Junior Day. Not an official list. I will add and delete prospects as news comes in. Junior Day is on the 20th. I assume most of the committed prospects will be in but some may wait for the next one. Updated 2/20 QB Zach Oliver -- Baton Rouge* QB Stevie Douglas -- Baton Rouge* RB Terrance Magee -- Franklington* 4* WR Jarvis Landry -- Lutcher* WR Alonzo Lewis -- St. James* (Committed) WR Bradely Sylve -- Port Sulphur* WR Ryan Byrd -- Greensburg* WR Chris Briggs -- Franklington* WR Derek Edwards -- TX* ATH Jermaine Sams -- Covington* ATH Levander Liggins -- Leesville* TE Evan Tatford -- St. Thomas Moore 5* OT La'el Collins -- Baton Rouge* 4* OG Greg Robinson -- Thibodaux (Track Meet)* 4* OG Sedrick Flowers -- TX* OT James Maiden -- MS OG Jonah Austin -- New Orleans* OT Trai Turner -- New Orleans* C Earl Ross Downs -- Bastrop* 5* DT Anthony Johnson -- New Orleans* DT Mickey Johnson -- Covington* (Offered) 4* LB Trevon Randle -- TX* (Offered and Committed) CB Mikeatavius Jones -- TX* CB/S Nick Shepard -- TX* S Renaldo Thomas -- New Orleans* S Dionte McDuffy -- Evangel* S Lonnie Ballentine -- TN (Track) S TK Fleming -- Benton (Track Meet) (No Junior Day)
I think these are the best guys we can expect a commit from: WR Alonzo Lewis -- St. James WR Bradely Sylve -- Port Arthur DT Chuck Hunter -- West Monroe(if he gets a offer) CB Odell Beckham Jr. -- New Orleans Robinson could pull the trigger early and possibly Micky Johnson if he gets a offer. I think C. J. Johnson is the sleeper...he apparently liked what he saw here and wants to come back in a few weeks, which is mostly likely Junior day as you listed.
Yeah, I would expect a few guys to get on board during this camp and then even at the spring game too...the next few months should be exciting.
Sorry to correct u Bhelm, but Bradley Sylve ( will check spell) is with South Plaquemines ( Port Sulphur) not Port Arthur.
Basically like an orientation and recruiting expo. Tours, speakers, one-on-one time with coaches, tips on technique and recruiting process, etc... I don't think they do formal measurements or anything like that but I think I recall hearing some prospects workout in the gym but not required. Many of the prospects will have some family with them.
