That’s the point Shane NO ONE KNEW what documents were there. In their own words Trump’s people said documents were gathered Willy nilly and stuffed into boxes. Sensitive documents of all classes were put together which is not allowed. Packing and moving documents wasn’t addressed until after January 6 when Trump had to finally admit he wasn’t going to stay in office.
Frankly the National Record office gave him plenty of respect and opportunity to give them what was required. It’s only after they stonewalled and we’re reported moving and hiding things by one of Trump’s people that they had to act.

 

It doesnt matter what was there. Presidents can declassify whatever they want.

Yes, presidents can declassify at will, it seems. However, it has to also be memorialized when they do so. Up to now we haven't seen proof of that happening. Lets see if proof is there.
All documents were not recovered. Trumps lawyer signed off, I believe in June, that all classified documents had been returned. There are indications someone alerted the FBI that was not fact. That's when the FBI decided they needed to make the case to go in.

Let me help the class out on why this will go exactly no where.

#1: The president does not seek, find, collect and store classified information. You think Trump walks into a SCIF and searches documents? Do any of you have a brain?

#2: Everything is either directed by HIM or delivered to HIM. So what this means is that Trump authority over classified information is such that as soon as he utters the word "this is declassified" it is so. The onus then falls on other people. If you fucking think the president of the United state needs to go in a SCIF and fill out forms, you are an actual moron.

#3: With the above said, the law is so broad for presidents over classified information you will never nab a president on "mishandling" anything. Period.

#4: Even if you guys think there need be a record, that process is always delegated by the office and it is NOT Trumps job to fill out forms noR is it his job to audit said process.

Still no sensible answer to the most important question, the one from which all the shit spewing is trying to distract:

WHY did trump still have SCI nuclear documents in his possession after he was advised/warned to return them and had made previous legal representations to the DOJ, FBI, and the National Archives that he held none?

 

And then the corollary:

What sort of anti-American shit swallower would excuse away a grifting, raging narcissist ex-president having SCI nuclear secrets still in his possession, after multiple warnings, for god knows what reason?
