just to be clear: he didn’t have it but also the FBI planted it which was ok because he’d already declassified it plus everyone does it and anyhow he still needed to read it to be prepared for the job he hasn’t had for 18 months

 

But he can’t keep them just willy nilly. Likewise we don’t know if/when they were declassified.

 

How do you know? If it’s declassified then what’s the problem?

This is just a pissing match. He declassified them and my best guess is they are trying to “reclassify” them on some technicality.

 

Has anyone in a position of authority verified that he declassified the documents prior to leaving office?
