i read the articles and i didnt see it stated that there is an uptick, merely that a memo was sent, and that possible : "issues are, the Times says: being too trusting of sources, underestimating foreign intelligence agencies, and moving too quickly to recruit informants while ignoring crucial risks.

they didnt say there was an uptick in compromised agents, nor that there was leaked info on the agents. thats just, as @kcal points out, imagined.

semi-unrelated: one of the criticisms i heard of biden was his susceptibility to pandering to the woke loons in his party, the people far more left wing than him. and this has come true, as apparently he had many moderate dems telling him how stupid it was to do student debt bailouts. but clowns like diversity hire VP harris pushed him and he backs down and does what the extreme wing of his party tells him.

i think 10 years ago the idea that would pay people 20 thousand dollars for their stupid educations would not be feasible politically, but the hard left has pushed the overton window such that what once was madness is now mainstream. i mean, even @Rex knows student loan bailouts are bad policy. he defends it with whataboutism, because he was told to do on twitter.

again, the twitter left is very specific about this. the defense of student loan bailouts is this, and always this: change the subject to PPP loans.

 

Some republicans have taken to threatening the country that justice should not be done. Talking in particular about Lady Lindsey and Chickenrunner Hawley, each of whom yesterday said on national TV that if trump is indicted/arrested there will be violent riots. They didn't couch their language with "I'm urging it not to happen", or "I wish it wouldn't happen", or "let justice take its course", but more as a threat: you do this and we will retaliate. It was dog whistling.

But what those unAmerican pieces of shit peddlers don't understand or acknowledge is that it MUST be done, or our country is forever fucked. And it WILL be done. The die is cast. We simply can not allow an ex-president to steal our top secrets in anger, to do with as he pleases in revenge. And we ALL know already that orange turd's supreme narcissism could amount to just about anything, and that he already has a history of sharing top secret intelligence with our foreign enemies.

If there will be violence, so be it. The rioters will forever wear the shit. They'll take it to their graves. But that's about as far as they'll get. They won't win, just as they didn't win on January 6. This country will prove itself stronger than one orange turd and his cult of shit swallowers.

And here we are, 100 pages in, and STILL no trumpian here has proffered a plausible reason:

WHY did trump have top secret documents in his basement and other unsecured places, when he was warned multiple times to return them?

 

My prediction is that when trump is arrested the celebrations will outnumber the riots. And that when the riots are quashed there will be even further celebrations. And we'll be singing "The Star Spangled Banner".

 

Because they weren't top secret.
