The Bucs are still limited on offense. They didn't exactly have great running backs and a tremendous wide receiver corps behind Garcia. It will be the same thing this year. Favre will struggle and go back to his pre 2007 days. 20 TDs and 19 Ints. Ho-hum.
Graham, Cadillac and Warrick Dunn is a good running back corp. WR is an issue, but if Garcia made it work, Favre will.
A couple of things- 1)Favre to Tampa hasn't happened that I know of. 2)Favre holds all the significant NFL QB records...plus he's tough as nails. He may not be as pure a passer as Marino, but he deserves respect for his accomplishments...since nobody else can touch them. 3)Finding out that Batty's hubby is a Cubs fan is refreshing. He has hope after all.
So Favre ain't going to Tampa. Let's hear it Saints fans. Time to do a 360 and say how lucky the Saints are and how stupid Tampa is.
I aint a math major for a reason. lol I meant 180. At least I wasn't "all-in" when I made my dumb remark (jab at the poker thread. :wink
I won't be doing a 180, I still believe the Saints chances of winning week 1 would have gone up if Favre was behind center. When I saw the breaking news last night, I was actually disappointed. Something I heard yesterday morning also made a lot of sense. We'll have to see how it affects this year. Jay Glazer from Fox Sports was mentioning how Favre doesn't really like to work out during the summers, and in the several season he was down before 2007 he didn't work out much. Well, apparently last summer the Packers had a guy sent down to Mississippi to work with Brett all summer. We saw the results. He came into camp in great shape and looked awesome last season. This offseason? No regular workouts. Let's see how he performs this year.
