There are legitimate reasons that it can't be done in real time. Improvement is improvement.

They can update pricing in real time and take orders for seating..

Improvement is crap. Do it right the first time.

Do you imagine that filling a seating chart or updating a ticket price somehow compares with checking a secure online database? It's not an open internal database and can't be if it is to remain secure. It takes time and special handling. I'm sure that they can and will continue to upgrade the requirements but they can't just snap their fingers. Real-time systems will probably have to await secure national ID cards.

Wow so hard. Someone goes on the no fly list, airlines get alert check against passenger manifest for the day and any new ticket purchases for the day.

Bing Bam Done. This is not hard.

They have done this for 9 years. That is not what real-time means.

Not 1 alert a day. An alert whenever they go on the list and in real time check against the manifests.

"Vincent Lacerra, who lives across the street from the searched home in Watertown, told the Boston Globe he was watching television at about 6 a.m. (1000 GMT) when he heard a commotion outside and the words, "FBI, don't move, put your hands up!"

He looked outside to see about 20 agents with guns drawn, the Globe reported on its website. "They all had their guns drawn, pointed at the house," he said.

Soon afterward, a man whose age he estimated at 25 to 40 was taken from the house and put into an Immigration and Customs Enforcement van."
