I have heard this was near the Viacom building in NYC which makes me think that just maybe this was payback for the South Park Episode that got so much publicity.

Why indeed? It's a pretty sure flag that they are lying. The Pakistani Taliban are getting their ass kicked by predator drones and keep losing territory to the Pakistani Army. They are just desperate to be seen as relevant and alive. It doesn't seem to have those familiar Al Qaeda hallmarks, either. This is probably a domestic terrorism attempt. It apparently wasn't a suicide bombing, these gomers aren't martyrs. They wanted to live and they won't be claiming credit because they want to strike again. It could be the local muslim converts, or more right wingnut kooks, or Bill Ayers. If it does turn out to be foreigners, their immigration status will become a really big issue. But if it proves to be illegal Mexican drug lords . . . there'll be a hot time in the old town tonight.

should we start a betting pool now on "who done it"? my nomination is the home grown islamist/convert. reasoning: to chicken**** to be a martyr, didnt get formal training from a terrorist summer camp (too amateurish), and nyc is the trendy target for islamic terrorists.
unfortunately my vote is some local bat**** crazy guy protesting the hispanic marches and hoping to get some in the process. I really hope not but it is a convenient day.
