just reported that Jim Donnan wrote that John Chavis has not only been contacted but has come to an agreement with LSU. LSU denies this report. Ed Oregeron has said that he has not been contacted by LSU but.........if he was then he would be open to coaching at LSU. This per 1210 the score fastest hour Josh and Matt.

Re: fastest hour i didnt take it as that, just wanted to point out my logistical handicap. Really hope that all this is true though. I am getting a little frightened Mallory will be the sole DC next season.
Donnan has pretty good sources. Pretty sure it was Donnan that called Mack to see if it was true that Muschamp was taking over and he told him yes -- and he broke it. He also called Tubs last year about the Arkansas rumors and reported the stories to be false.
I think Les realizes that his future is tied to the defensive coordinator position. If this does pan out... you can't argue with the results of the Chavis defense. I'd be comfortable with him coming in, especially since he's SEC-tested.
Yeah I think we can consider this a done deal barring some major setback. I also think the Orgeron to LSU as DL Coach will go nowhere. I don't think Miles is getting past the recruiting wars. It's a shame. I think we need that fire on the sidelines plus his recruiting ability, however questionable it may be perceived.
