Let's say it doesn't work in Seattle. Les continues on this current mediocrity trend the 8-9 win 4-5 loss seasons.

Pete Carroll would be a solid choice as a coach in Tigertown. I think he is a great recruiter like Miles but seems to get more out of his players than CLM.

That would be something to get Tiger fans fired up about.

There are several programs that would love our record right now, including 8 other teams in our conference. Poor definition of mediocrity.

Pete Carroll will have his hands full in Seattle for awhile, but he can lose his job quickly, as Mora Jr. did. He could come here, but I doubt it. Besides, why would he want to come to a mediocre school like ours, as you believe Miles is transforming us into?

Miles will be here for as long as he wants with 9-3 or 8-4 seasons. It will have to get much worse for him to be forced out by LSU.:geaux:

In 2011, Les' contract is up... and yeah, if LSU keeps slipping, we will be looking for a new coach. If Pete Carroll is available, he'd be good hire based on his success now... but two years from now, people might be thinking a whole different thing about him. Two year years ago, Les was on top of the world. Now you have fans, such as yourself, that have lost all faith in him.

After this probation jack hammer hits Southern cow his college rep might be tarnished. What happens to those NC's and wins once it's hammertime?

This isn't to say I would want him, because as of right now my answer is no thanks, but when ya think about it this whole move by Petey is really just his ticket to get into the SEC. Leave USC, go to the NFL, fail, come back to the college ranks into a real conference, the SEC, and fail again. He hasn't faired well when it comes to the job having to face tough defensive conferences.

you lost me when you started from the position of a 9 win season being mediocre.
