I agree it will be Epic. I don't however think that Oregon will be number 1 in the preseason polls. I believe their running back is a junior or redshirt sophmore along with several other starters. I believe a lot of them will go pro so they will lose a lot of talent going into next year. They will have a drop in talent so being top 15 is more likely a scenario for them. :miles:
I am so ready for this game. Can't wait for tickets to go on sale in June. I may drive to Dallas to be first in line at the B.O. just for the fun of it.
I passed on fighting for Cotton Bowl tickets, even though the game was 30 miles from my house, but I do NOT want to miss this game in person!
I believe that LaMichael James actually has already stated that he won't be going pro. Even if he did, they have another guy waiting in line almost as good to replace him. #1 is a stretch because they may not even with the national title this year, so we'll see, but most likely a top 5 team.
Oregon loses two receivers (both starters), both OTs and the Center, both starting DTs, one starting DE, two starting Lbs and one starting CB.
The WR Maehl will be their biggest lost out of all the players you listed. The QB and RB return and that's enough. And they still have that head coach and OC and that will keep their offense clicking at an obnoxious rate.
Awesome stadium. LSU will have every SEC fan cheering for them in this game. Nothing would be sweeter than Auburn beating Oregon monday and LSU beating them next year. Truly show the dominance of the SEC. However, I do not believe Oregon will be number 1 next year. I think Cam and Auburn are going to shred their undersized defense monday. If I had to guess now, the top 5 will look like.... 1. Oklahoma 2. Alabama 3. TCU 4. Stanford 5. Oregon/LSU
