He had arguably the greatest college QB of all time though. That dude was a one man wrecking machine.
Totally agree. Tebow was a freaking beast in addition to being a seemingly great person. I was openly pulling for him to get a legit shot with the Eagles. However, I think it is easy to forget that Leak played most of the snaps in 2006 when they won a National Championship, and in fact set passing records at Florida before Tebow really came on. In addition, he won the whole thing last year with his third string QB, to include beating Bama and Oregon along the way. All I am saying is that an offensive coach can work in the SEC providing they commit to also offering scholarships for defense and don't run too much up tempo all the time. If not, you end up with what A&M has now, which I definitely don't want.
You mean there's another coach living in the dark ages? Miles has been successful despite his archaic philosophy. Imagine what a modern era coach could do. Ok, I'll rephrase: get a coach who can recruit and doesn't have a Flintstone philosophy and he can win championships here.
It would be pretty sweet if he could get plays in on time and know when to call a time out also. Miles seems to be a good family man that has avoided getting LSU involved in a scandal with the NCAA, etc. I would like to see both of those things continue.
