I'm open to talk about any realistic coach. I'm past tired of all this stoned hippy talk of Kelly, Sweeney, Pete Carol and other unrealistic options. Herman has experience at Major programs under quality coaches. Proven HC, no but neither was Miles or Saban. Too many posters here live in fantasy land and are going to be CRUSHED if we don't land Jimbo, because the next best realistic option is going to be an up and comer.

Bullshit, Miles and Saban were both head coaches for a number of years. And if you are tired of reading people put up names you don't agree with, don't fucking read the posts or comment on it. Real easy fix there.

Not names I don't agree with names we have no shot at. And yes Miles and Saban were head coaches, but far from proven commodities. Since when is average success as a head coach proof of success at the next job?

A good choice but another extremely long shot, turned down Texas.

I have concerns with anyone who doesn't value defense, and he obviously does not. Plus, I can't see the LSU faithful enjoying football games that end up with basketball scores.

No one said it is, but I bet it happens more than a guy with little to no experience as a head coach being a home run.

Yeah he did but maybe things have changed or maybe he just didn't want to go to Texas.

He can recruit Baylor he can recruit anywhere. Offense wouldn't be a problem. He is a proven winner

Tom Herman may be the next Nick Saban but i just worry about only 1 year as a head coach. I'm sure Sumlin look like Saban when he was at Houston. Texas A&M is in the SEC . Harder to win consistently
