Spurrier is done, Strong will be tainted as a HC after his time at Texas (he would probably have to go to a smaller school again for a few years before anyone would give him a shot at a big time HC job) but might serve well as DC, and Fisher isn't leaving FSU for a harder path to the NC in the SEC West. I don't want Fisher at all to be honest. Les has done a good job of keeping us out of hot water with the NCAA and out of national derision by his willingness to can players who break the law, not recruit kids who were openly looking for money, etc. Fisher has shown zero moral leadership in that area, and that is not something I want associated with LSU.

I was not a Fisher fan while he was OC at LSU. I thought he was very Vanilla. Of course, I think he has grown as a coach since then and has joined the real world where offenses are concerned. But, I do agree with you about his moral leadership with his players. IF LSU hired him, I am not sure how I would feel, but I am also under the impression that his feet are solidly in place at FSU

We'd be lucky to get Fisher. I don't see how we have a shot at anyone better. Strong? Really? I don't want him. Patterson is a pipe dream, so is Briles I would think. I don't want Mullen or Franklin.

Seems like a decent option to me. I know he's a great x's and o's guy and great technique guy but can he recruit and deal with what it takes to win in a major program. I just don't know.

I have a feeling when his offense seemed vanilla it was because of who he had behind center. I don't think Rohan or Jamarcus could read defenses and make changes at the line of scrimmage very well. Hell, Jimbo still worked magic with them however. Just imagine if he had someone with more between the ears.

Here's one for you. Since we have an affinity for a running QB, how about the guy at Navy?

He does very good with a very limited talent pool, and his QB may even get invited to NYC.
