True........but some guy coming in that has NO ties to LA. football may spend 5 years reestablishing relationships that have been trashed several times before. Alabama steals enough players from LA. we don't need them to get all of them.
I mean, i believe that recruiting and really good assistance is what LSU needs along with a strong leader. Saban has been intense from Day 1. He literally never lets up. Its why he is so successful. Miles used to be a sight to see on the sidelines. Somewhere along the lines he got comfortable. Maybe he feels it now, but it is too late it seems. We have too talented of a team to look like such shit.
I can't see him leaving Baylor, Art Briles is my first choice. You go back 10 years ago and I never would have expected Baylor to be where they are today.
This article list Dabo Swinney as being a candidate on the high ups list. He would be a great choice, but like Fisher I just can't see him leaving Clemson. He is building a great program, in a lesser conference at a school with a solid history. Sure LSU may be a bit of a step up but Clemson is a very good program that recruits pretty well. https://www.seccountry.com/louisiana-state/report-les-miles-may-be-finished-at-lsu
I hope that some consideration is given to guys like Tom Herman and Justin Fuente. Herman would be my first choice.
I read an article that strongly suggested Jimbo wasn't real happy at FSU. The article suggested he wasn't getting a lot of things he asked for including raises for his assistants. No link, sorry.
Patterson ain't leaving. TCU is a private university so they don't have to say what his salary is but I've heard he gets some "other considerations" from megabuck boosters in addition to his pay. He likes it where he is Surely he has been approached in the past by big time storied programs You never know until you ask him There are reasons to believe Jimbo has already decided to jump ship and head to the bayous Callahan tried to change the culture at Nebraska from the option grind it out on the ground to the West Coast offense. It failed miserably. Too much of a gamble. Dantonio is 59. I don't know if he would leave but it gets awful cold in East Lansing. Old bones get sensitive to the cold. A big pay raise and warm weather might be an offer he couldn't refuse.
The last hungry young coach from a mid major we hired turned into Curley "Stooge" Hallman. Nyuck, nyuck nyuck
