My team is starting to come on strong but I have to make 2 decisions this week with Wayne on Bye and Holmes not looking great so far this year. I am starting Steve Smith(NYG) but I need another to start out of Holmes vs CLE and Driver vs DET, who do I go with? Also I need to fill my Flex spot with a RB. I am starting Portis and Hightower at RB. I need to pick either Cadillac vs the horrid CAR defense or Tomlinson vs a Denver defense who I am still not sold on as for real yet with their schedule so far being pretty weak(minus the Pats). Tomlinson will be 100% and coming off a bye.
The only problem with LT is their offensive yardage and scoring comes from 80% pass. SD runs twice as many pass plays as they do running plays and Sproles is still going to get a lot of work even with a healthy LT. Sproles has also been getting the majority of passes out of the RB spot so thats another thing to consider. The coach at Tampa said before last week that Caddy is to be their featured back. It didnt happen against Philly but that is probably because they got behind so quickly. LT isnt what he used to be but Caddy isnt a good fantasy player either. If it was me I would make a decision based on the match up. You may be right about the Denver defense but they did face a good Dallas rushing offense and held them in check. The Carolina defense was shredded in the first 3 weeks. They were better coming off the bye but Washington's run game isnt very good. For that matter neither is Tampa's. lol Hard choice because there is no clear cut trend or something you can point to and say "this is a good reason to start X". I would go with the team you think scores more points and in that case its SD. If they put up 4 or more TD's there is a good chance LT will have one. Regarding Driver or Holmes. Detroits pass defense has given up 15 freakin TD's! Cleveland only 5. Go with the play against the worst pass defense in the league.
Santonio Holmes is money vs. Cleveland historically. And i would go with the Caddy because Carolina's defense has been really bad vs. the run. The reason i wouldn't go with LT is because of he is rarely in the game on 3rd down, and he doesn't have that same explosiveness he used to have.
ok, so I got 2 wideout spots and a flex position to fill. ain't decided which way to geaux yet available WR (opponent) Dwayne Bowe (was) Mario Manningham (no) Mike Sims-Walker (stl) Vincent Jackson (den) Jackson has been my most consistent guy, but he's got arguably the toughest matchup Manningham had a couple good weeks, but is sharing the ball with too many other guys, plus a tough matchup Bowe has been hobbled, and has a sh!tty QB, but going against a crap opponent Sims-Walker is my highest scoring guy, so he'll probably get one of my spot (if Del Rio secretly suspends him again, i'm flying to Jacksonville to shoot the s.o.b) so who do i plug in the extra receiver slot? the 2 RBs available for flex is Fred Jackson and Leon Washington playing against each other. Leon is probably the better play between the two, but would I be better off with one of my other wrs?
Looks like Driver and Holmes were a wash. Caddy got a TD and 75+ yards so we'll see what LT does. Nootch, I would have played Manningham and Jackson. I have Manningham and Bowe on my team too. I played Welker, Manningham and Bowe today. Didnt work out too bad.
Caddy ended up being the better play. LT looked explosive early and with the way both teams where scoring in the first half I expected him to get a TD at some point. Amazing that Sproles only had one carry. I think Denver is for real. They looked good and completely shut down Rivers in the 2nd half.
What the hell happened to LT? Did he outrun his legs? He looks good, fast, elusive, but cant find the endzone at all. Have they lost faith? Hester looking like a better fullback each week.
This was LT's 1st real game with out pain but he said he probably won't have it all back for a few weeks. They trusted him with the carries and he got 100 yards total last night after some rest. There were a few runs that he would have broken loose last year but you can tell he is almost back to getting those long runs. SD just didn't have many chances to run in the redzone last night. Encourage night for LT owners. I expect a score next week against KC.
