Yeah...they started it. The student section leads the rest of the stadium. That is why it is important for them to be there and support. Back in 83 during my first year, I started an "LSU" chant during the Washington game that the rest of the students then stadium followed. My highlight of my college career.
People were cold at the game? What no LSU "snuggies"? I even saw a guy who had his young son holding a sign" PleasE Saban Please ReturN" that had throw up a little in my mouth. No wonder the gumps say we all have Saban envy. And this guy has been calling for Miles' job since earlier in the season. I believe he rooted for our opposition for the last half of the season. Why go to the games if you don't support your own team?
Some kid in front of us had a sign that said Everyone Send Presents to Nick. Not sure about that one. I think Arkansas tried to call that last time out to ice the fans. Band started playing Pregame, and it was balls to the wall. It got loud.
That's not a fan. That's a miserable azzhole. There is NOTHING you can do for a miserable azzhole that will make him happy in any part of his life. If a miserable azzhole can't complain about something, he feels he has no purpose in life and doesn't know what to talk about. And that's how you explain that. I have no problem with people not liking Miles as a coach, but people that would really hope for LSU to lose aren't LSU fans. They're just idiots that can't let go of their association with LSU because it's the only time they feel like they are part of something.
I don't care what people think, either. I'm not buying a ticket and spending all day tailgate with friends to see 'what the coach is going to do'. I'm there to see the team play. And beat opponents. I'm a big fan of Miles. He's dumb sometimes, but I love what he's done. Buuuuut. I love the atmosphere at Death Valley. Tiger Stadium is a wonderful place whether you love or hate the coach. Jackholes that don't want to see the team do good can suck it. To me, being in Tiger Stadium with family and friends and chanting and acting like a straight up fool, is where it's at! :geaux: Been going since I was a kid. Not ever gonna stop
I agree with that post in every way possible. And although I definitely have big concerns about Miles, I can't complain looking at the whole record. GREAT POST.
No, the stadium was full, the game was a sellout and the crowd was lively. It wasn't a GIANT game, but there was nothing disappointing about the crowd. There are a lot of folks (especially students and people with small children) who leave every game early.
i have left games early before, because of traffic and everything our rule is if we are up more than 3 touchdowns with 10 minutes left in the 4th its go time. If we are down, i can't bring myself to leave because i don't want to miss a potential miraculous comeback. But in a close game? That just doesn't make sense to me, and i have never, ever seen commentators talk about how empty Tiger Stadium looks.
they announced 93,000 and something attendance. i thought the fans were really into it other than the ones that did leave early. those that stayed made a lot of noise.
That's why we didn't leave early. My wife was THRILLED that it was an overtime game. And especially since Holliday is her favorite player, he ran one back. It was a good night. :geauxtige
