Success has spoiled us. When we weren't that good, the fairweather fans got weeded out and the true fans actually came to the games and cheered...it comes with any school that has this much success.
Thanks for the heads-up on '65 is freezing'. It means I need to adjust my thermostat at home (set to 65 during day, 60 at night). 65 didn't feel that cold when I grew up in La. It only seemed 'old' when I visited mama and papa. Damn, I just described myself now that I'm over 65. A 10-3 season is an over-achievement compared to how our '09 Tigers played this year. Didn't anyone ever teach those kids that ''tackling begins at your opponent's waist line"? That's why they give you shoulder pads! Oh well. Another knee operation to go before the Bowl game come Jan 1. :geaux::LSU231:
The crowd that made Tiger Stadium great in the past were there for the team, win or lose. The fans today want instant gratification and have no patience. Why, I remember walking 20 miles in the snow...:hihi:
I'm from Baton Rouge and live in a much colder climate now. When I go down there in the "Winter", it cracks me up how people complain that it's "cold", but they have hardly any clothes on!
Whats wrong with being in your 40's? :cuss: I didn't see it as dead. While there were some early departures the [place was rockin at the end. Not sure if it was mentioned but after Arkansas scored the touchdown with 1:13 left the crowd went into the LSU and Geaux Tigers chant during the time out. The team was fired up coming back onto the field.
I have seen shirtless men in the stands at Green Bay with snow on the ground and you people can't hold up to the harsh Louisiana winter cold snap of 40 degrees?
