By Vegas terms they did get blown out. Bye Bye Boise, now hopefully all the talking heads will quit drinking their koolaid and get back to Big Boy Conference reality.

And what really kills me is this...

With all of the chips on the line, they lose to #19 Nevada in a close one..

And not to hate, because as a Tiger fan, we all know about close game victories. But when you look at it closely, their only other test came from V. Tech. And they needed a game winning drive to win that one.

Basically, when the competition is tough, it shows up on film. Boise State is by no means a push over....

But if they played top tiered schools week to week to week to week, Boise would be an 8-3 team at best.

And not to mention, a few years ago, it took every trick play in the book to beat OU. I just point this out because Boise Supporters always point to that game.

Once again, you can't deny that Boise has a great coach, and a team with a few NFL prospects, but LSU (or any other school from a major conference) would be in the title game every year with a schedule like Boise's (and TCU's :)

    P.S.

And when are teams gonna figure out that all you have to do to stop the spread option is blitz the gaps, and play man coverage on the outside. I hate watching teams like Oregon and Auburn play because it really kills me to think that these defensive coordinators aren't smart enough to do this.

Saban did it to Auburn, but Bama's play at safety has been suspect at best all year...

I agree that Boise could schedule tougher games, but to some extent their schedule is out of their hands. They can't just tell the PAC10, hey, I want to be in. The PAC10 didn't give them much consideration (see academics).

I say SoS should be a bigger part of the BCS formula, but if Boise is rated high enough they deserve to play for the whole enchilada. Enchilada's with sour cream sauce. Yum.
