Hatch sealed that he will be the starter in the scrimmage today.

Murphy dominated out of the RBs.

This dude just seems like when he gets 15-20 carries he always finds a way to get 80-110 yds.

J-Lee fought off a limp, but looked good today.

Today was the break through day for the LSU WRs.

They were bound to come around. Do you think it has been the constant switching of QB's that have limited them?

OT: How do you give reputation?

not so much the QBs as technique. A lot of guys running without the ball.

Maybe they feel that opportunities to break a big one will be hard to come by, so they were pressing a little bit.

But it was some technique issues.

You would say Holliday is the 5th WR? Is he going to actually be a WR this year in plays? I can't recall a single time he had a pass thrown to him.

It seemed whenever he was in the slot, it was either for an end-around, or the threat/decoy of one.

I should put "WR" in quotes.

Because his role will be similar to years past.

I do see him getting 15-20 catches this year on bubble screens, though.

Thing with Trindon is he has no 80%. the bubble screen is a play that takes patience as you need to wait for your blockers to get down field to give you space. But with him, he gets the ball and runs full throttle before the play develops and then gets slaughtered.

They been working on getting him to tone it down a little bit when it benefits him, and it's worked so far.

Will it with 93,000 people on their feet? I dunno.

    About Thurs:

The WRs again stole the show. They looked great.

Holliday's height hurts him as a wide receiver unless he can get a wide open catch. Plus, he gets special attention from the DB's whenever he is in the game. He may have more value as a potential deep threat than as a receiver. He can influence the safeties and open up the tight end or a running back.

And then some safety is going to make a mistake in some game and let him get wide open . . .

I always thought LSU didn't use Trindon as a decoy nearly as well as they could/should.
