what makes you think nd wouldnt have scored a td as they marched right down our throats on the final drive. they simply didnt need it. that call cost us 7 points but didnt cost us the game. we had ample time after the game was tied to assert our sec power. we got handled most of that game and didnt deserve shit. that would be another w in les' hat due to talent differential despite terrible coaching and preparation. he didnt deserve a W. nor did chavis. who is an excellent coach and someone we screwed over. so he gets a pass from me.
They kicked the FG from about the 10 yd. line with 4 seconds left. What makes you think they would have scored? Even if they had with the 7 points taken away it would only have tied the score. IF, IF, IF, too many ifs to argue about but anytime you take away 7 deserved points that's a big deal and may have decided the game. I don't think you can refute that.
Who's to say that Chavis didn't screw LSU over? That clause in question is pretty standard with college assistant coaches, no? If your head coach leaves (one way or the other), you are probably not going to be retained. As others have said, he's Tiger Bait now--and going to the Aggies puts him along the lines of Saban at Bama in my book. (Though I'm trying to just let go of my Saban hatred, as it expends a lot of energy for no good reason.)
Phuck him and feed him fish heads, you're either a Tiger or Tigerbait! That being said Chavis did a good job at LSU and it was a mistake to let him get away. Still I wish him no luck with the faggies. There aren't a ton of better candidates out there to replace him and LSU could do much worse. The odds are not in Miles favor and he really needs to hit a home run with this hire.
because its about respect. and alleva knows nothing about anything. their track records speak for themselves.
I agree I think Chavis was mishandled. However I do think he kind of screwed LSU at the same time. Regardless, he ain't here no more fuck him.
This is accurate. We couldn't stop ND. Had we gotten that 7 it's no guarantee we win that game because the 2nd half could have played out differently. It would have been a screw job if that was the last play of the game.
i never loved him but he gets my respect. and im not going to shit on a dude who got screwed while being a class act otherwise as a coping mechanism like most.
I'm no fan of Alleva's, and since I really don't know jack shit about what actually happened, I really cannot comment on the respect issue one way or the other. I would have been happy to have kept Chavis. Now, I have no other choice but to hope we get an energetic, more aggressive DC who likes to get after QBs and who doesn't play off of receivers at the end of halves and games.
