RealClearPolitics - Faith in the American People? With midterm elections approaching, President Barack Obama has gone on the charm offensive, claiming Republicans are demonstrating a "lack of faith in the American people." "Faith" often is defined as "having confidence or trust in a person or thing." In this case, though, faith means adding another $35 billion in unemployment benefits to the infinite intergenerational tab -- sometimes referred to as the budget -- and mailing out as many checks as possible before Election Day.
If he wants to know why the American public has lost faith, he and the rest of the corrupt politicians need to look in the mirror. Instead of pointing fingers, maybe our President and our Government should start to actually look to the very people that elected them and ASK what is best for the American public. They would get an ear full that's for sure, but they actually might get some viable answers.
They have just lost the ability to realize that they work for us. All of them, not just D/R and it is time they are reminded of that fact.
they are no different than they have ever been. and the american people are still unqualified to make decisions for the country.
They got an earful during the health care debate, then they went back to DC and did what they wanted, not what the people wanted. That is why there will (should) be a major upheaval in November.
