I made the mistake of clicking on tigerdroppings for the first time in a long time. Big mistake. I now fully understand why a certain faction of LSU's fanbase is completely misinformed on most every subject, regarding LSU. (Although most probably know Saban's shoe size..) They can't even get the frickin' facts down for a field logo, and they want to question play calling, coaches etc.? Baby steps first rantards.. 1982? Really? Wasn't Rocky III in theaters in 1982? Then the "Real Story" is foisted upon Rantardistan: So, an unpaid female graphic design friend, huh? Here is the story that was printed in The Baton Rouge Advocate, November 4, 2012: http://theadvocate.com/sports/lsu/4258306-123/lsus-eye-of-the-tiger Logo was designed by Don Bruce, he was paid & it was unveiled in October 15, 1983 for Homecoming against Kentucky.
yeah, Tigerdroppings seems to be populated by kids who think LSU started playing football in 2000. And you have to wade thru pages of posts with nothing but emoticons and insults to even see a post remotely related to sports. It's a cesspool
There are also a lot of quality posters there too. Just checked and there were over 6K logged in so that says something. Outdoor board is awesome; so is the Food & Drink- some very very good cooks there. Those are pretty much the two I mainly visit though I make an occassional run through the OT. A poster there (Adam4LSU) pretty much put the cops on the trail of Brandon Lavergne. I haven't been to the Rant in months.
That's why I said logged in. Many stay logged in but still. Having THAT many even logged in says a lot. Jack Reacher, it's good. I recommend it.
