and yet bear still managed to lose 5 games in back-to-back years.
something Miles hasn't done even though he's got more opportunities to lose.

    Pathetic. :insane:

I'll go ahead and condense your opus down to this, since this is really all that matters and the rest is complete BS.

Enjoy the misery of your life. And good luck trying to convince anyone here differently.

Funny. I stand up and welcome the dialogue, face it without resorting to personal attacks. Many of the "happy" folks defending Miles feel the need to resort to snide remarks and personal attacks. It's like you guys are on edge or something, I can't imagine why. I'm the miserable one?

I'm pretty happy with my life - ever heard of hyperbole? Anyway, I enjoy holding LSU to a high standard and the associated roller-coaster ride. If you and your ilk enjoy being indifferent and trying to explain why we shouldn't expect inspiring play, I guess more power to ya?

    Snarky mofo.

No I attacked your assertions, not you personally. Do you understand the difference, braniac?(<-this is personal. See the difference?)

I challenge you to find an indifferent statement of mine in regards to this team. Ok, I will save you the effort you wouldn't make anyway. It doesn't exist. So stick to your perpetual complaints about a team you insist on watching for some reason. Since you have concluded repeatedly that Miles has not changed anything, Miles can't change anything, but you still feel like a different result should be forthcominng, I can't figure that reason out.

I think Einstein used that example to explain insanity. (<-personal attack. Getting it yet?)

I see you post this quite a bit. What is it you hope to be inspired to do? I hope to be entertained. Can't say LSU football has ever generated any creativity out of me. Unless you count beer bongs when I was 18. Perhaps this is what you are referring to. There are plenty of videos on youtube to show you how to make one. Doesn't really require any "inspiration".

<- personal attack. But I feel certain you still don't get it. :hihi:

    You are all truly BLESSED!

I am an LSU-Dad. I only WISH I were a part of the LSU alumni!.

Fun to check these boards, both before & after each game, especially as I am way out in Arizona & not in BR.

LSU--campus, people, sports, football team, Baton Rouge, Mississippi River, Death Valley--BLESSED you are if LSU is or was YOUR university.

Take it from one who went to two lame undergrad venues (Providence College & Hofstra University) with little to brag about and essentially NO National presence, and "all y'all" are so lucky to be having these great discussions--and not a few rants--on these boards. I tell you true, I'd have given some important body parts to have been able to go to LSU those many years ago.

Thank the Fates that my daughter is at LSU--giving me the opportunity to share the experience, excitement and angst that all y'all are PRIVILEGED to enjoy! (I will attend the 'Bama game on Nov. 6th, no doubt breathing in the 151 proof bourbon fumes emanating from 92,000+ freaks!--looking forward to that one, fo schizzle!)

Oh, and, did I forget to mention the coolest, most out of control Tailgating in the frickin' USA?

--Enjoy the ride, guys & gals--'cause I sure am! See ya in Death Valley!

"Enjoy the misery of your life." Admitting that you are sometimes wrong would lend credibility to your posts here, brainiac.

Honestly this is the first post of yours I've noticed in a while. I figure since you're attacking my post you must disagree and feel Miles is doing a fine job, which I consider indifferent.

I was hoping Miles might have turned things around to start the season, which might even be considered positiger-light. I'll still watch in hopes that I might be wrong.

Inspire me to yell louder and sing the praises of LSU to anyone who will listen. Inspire me to dream of what we might accomplish next quarter, half, game, season. Inspire me to compare LSU favorably with other FBS schools in terms of expectations and potential. Probably won't be constructing any beer bongs any time soon (unless I hit the lottery, perhaps).

This I agree with, it's the irrational conclusions that most of the criticism leads to that I disagree with.

Excellent post! Helps to put it all in perspective. Some simply can't enjoy the ride unless LSU beats every team by 20 points and wins a NC every year.

No, it's not. I'll never understand those who credit the players when the team does well and blame the coaches when the team does poorly. It's BS. A team must function as a team and it takes a head coach, assistant coaches, and 85 players. Yes, the buck stops at the head coach for wins and losses, but not for fumbling or running into the punter or failing to be in the position you were coached to be in. Coaches aren't responsible for bad luck, injuries and bad calls either, but they are all part of the game. This ridiculous notion that the head coach must be blamed and held accountable for everything about the team that displeases you is absurd.

I didn't defend him for coaching issues like mismanaging his clock in the Ole Miss game. I defend him from foolish accusations that he's incompetent because Ridley fumbled.

I have not argued for lowered expectations, I have argued for reasonable expectations. A 10 win average is damn good football in the SEC, who can't recognize this? Les is doing his job. We have to play Florida and Bama each and every year and we're not going to win them all and neither will they.

I defend his record which is good and what we hold coaches accountable for. You are worried about the future based on your fears, not on Les' record.
