Gee, and here I thought 27-3 was a sound victory

The offense was awful in the first half. After halftime, adjustments were clearly made, and the running game was established. Ridley had 160 yds. Yes, he broke a big one, but he had about 100 yds without it...in about 15 carries. Defense was great. Gotta get the QB going, and I no longer care which one it is.

27-3 is a sound victory, but Vandy shouldn't be in the game with LSU going into the fourth quarter. For some reason though, we almost NEVER blow Vandy out...and not just under Miles.

You people are insane if 27-3 isn't good enough.

It isn't that 27-3 isn't good enough. It was 10-3 going into the 4th quarter. For me, I was impressed by the running game, freshmen play, and definitely the defense...especially the line and backers. The front 7 are a force to be reckoned with.

But JJ's play was awful, and the passing game has to be a threat when we play better teams. I still think something will be done to address it. I don't think it'll ever be GREAT with the personnel we have, but it has to improve. It will.

LSU was favored by 9 or 10. Miles LSU teams RARELY beat the spread on the road, but they did tonight. It was due to adjustments made DURING the game. I am impressed with that.

It happens, we finished strong at least. Of course there is a lot to improve if we want to be at our best but for the time being I'm satisfied with the weekly improvement.

Yep. I was happy with the way LSU finished and kept the foot on the gas. There is room for improvement, especially on offense. But there was improvement shown as well. Just not in the passing game...at all.

I feel a lot better about our team after last night despite there being lots of room for improvement. It also helped that we were playing Vandy, but we finally showed the ability to execute consistently (toward the end), and I'd be happy about that even if we did it against air.

Alot of people want Miles gone... but who would replace him? Monday September 13, 2010 10:45 Wes

    Glenn Guilbeau:
Good point, Wes. If LSU does decide to let Miles go, it better make sure it can find someone clearly better and better make sure it can pay him. Les has some issues, but he's much better than DiNardo and Hallman. It was easy to find someone better than those two.
