and we kill innocent people and set the wheels in motion for further radicalization. a bomb hits an innocent house and kills some guys little girl and wife. you think he isn't going to want revenge? come on, man. i realize that it is a far different type of warfare than we've ever fought before. The military are the ones who are planning and executing these strikes and the way in which we employ them. I trust their judgement and motives. They are in the theater, they are the experts and they are going to do everything possible to defeat the enemy because that is what they do. It not being afraid of offending, it's exactly what I just said above. Why make more enemies for ourselves if we don't have to. I am pretty sure this is how our commanders in the field are looking at this. when what you are doing fails, you have to take a look at what you are doing. I agree, if they think their system is okay then that is a problem.
Thats just false, Japan didn't radicalize after we bombed them. Neither did Germany. The similarities is that they radicalized on their own. It's called war. Innocent people die. Talking doesn't work with these people. It wont work. Why care what your enemy thinks? That is about the most absurd thing I have ever heard anyone say. You "caring" what the rest of the world thinks about how we end terrorism is why its gotten worse. You sit behind your PC, in your safe zone called America and just think the rest of the world should to think like you. They don't. They never will. There are sever cultural differences that will not be overcome. I know it feels good to say all lives matter, we are all humans, but the harsh realities of cultures clashing is that cultures throughout history that refuse to change cause conflict. I know the left likes to support Muslim culture, but they support you. That is very much clear.
If you believe that the commanders in the field are deciding this you should go read about the battles for Fulajha. Both times the Marine commander went in there to kill every damn terrorist and both times they were pulled back because to many "innocents" were being killed, eventhough the "civilians" were allowed to leave ahead of the battle Washington politics are deciding what is acceptable. That is why I don't want anymore of our guys on the ground there.
It isn't the military commander who decide how the operations are executed. It's their politician bosses.
There is no comparison between Japan & Germany after WWII and the Islamic world today. Germany and Japan were homogeneous well defined countries each with a long history as societies with common interests as well as a tradition of following the lead of the ruling party. They also have tremendous cultural pride and drive. Japan transformed itself from a medieval society to an industrial power in less than 50 years (1864-1905). They transformed again after WWII. The Germans went through similar transformation from a militaristic society of the 19th & 20th century to a industrial business country today. In stark contrast there is no single compelling trait in the Muslim world. Shia, Sunni, Arab, Persian southeast Asian African etc. even the sects they follow have great differences. Point being there is no center of Islam there is no way to have an equivalent event to the end of WWII. No strictly military solution will work. THEY BEED TO CHANGE THEMSELVES. awe can't make them.
LOL no common trait? Ummm "Muslim"... Seriously dude? They all have the same core values. Same core culture. The ones that dont get bombed/terrorized on the regular. The fuck we cant change them...... Put it you this way. They "Muslim immigrants" have changed Europe more than Europeans have. Just chew on that for a second. They are not assimilating. They seek out and destroy even their own that are more progressive. You have two options, you hold their countries of origin accountable or you bomb them. Its that fucking simple.
