i cant believe it! an espn experts poll on this weekends nfl games http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/features/talent ALL picks from 8 experts (most of them with respectable opinions) were for N.O.. I hope the Saints win, and I guess I think they will win. But, on the road against the #1 seed? someone has to pick the Bears.
Merril Hoge on why the Saints D will be successful vs. Grossman: Hoge: He'll struggle much more than he did against Seattle. The Saints play a different style of defense than the Seahawks. New Orleans challenges people at the line of scrimmage and plays a lot of man coverage. When teams play like that, they are forcing the quarterback and receivers to be more accurate and precise, and neither of those is among Grossman's strong points. The team that plays most like the Saints is the Minnesota Vikings, and they gave Grossman fits the two times he played them this season.
Don't be surprised if we disguise single coverage of Thomas on Berrian by giving him either underneath support with an LB or safety help over the top. I think the Bears are gonna go there time and time again. I think Payton has something up his sleeve that we haven't seen all year long defensively. Look for a pick by Fujita and Bullocks this Sunday.
Check these scores out: Hoge:.......... Saints 31-24 Schlereth:.....Saints 31-17 Jaworski:...... Saints 38-27 Salisbury:..... Saints 31-21
all those guys know more about it than i do, but the saints better be sharp. the bears are going to come out mad. im hoping they dont have to kick to hester first.
Payton has a plan to take Hester out of the game. Let's just say Cundiff has perfected the art of the squib kick this week. Payton will take Chicago starting at the 35 versus taking even one chance on a Hester return.
