I enjoyed the article, but I think the overall feel for me wasn't so much "did LSU deserve it", but more specifically the issue over having 2 losses and playing for the BCS NC.

I think that's what they were trying to accomplish anyways- 2007 was a wild season and almost everyone had 2 losses. Half of the 2 loss teams in contention had a late season loss, and the other half had bad losses.

At the end of the day, imo, LSU had the best resume. No other team played, or defeated, as many ranked teams as LSU.

They fought through several injuries, the circus of the coach leaving or not, and won the toughest conference in the country.

Yes, West Virginia had an awesome team. So did Georgia, and USC, and one has to appreciate what Kansas did last year. Va Tech, Oklahoma, Mizzou and Hawaii all had really good seasons, BUT LSU WAS THE BEST TEAM.

The voters knew that. They knew that a healthy LSU team would beat ANY or ALL of those other teams in last season's BCS NCG.

I would say that losing one player, White, and folding shows how good of a team they really were.

We had several shots. I just thought it was funny that Fiutak singled out WVU, and why?

I'll answer that: because they beat down OU, who everyone always overrates.
