dude it's not as easy at it seems. every school in D-1 has talent. look at notre dame until this season, they have had tons of talent and weiss couldn't get them to win 11 games.

edit - btw, that is my favorite sanford and son episode ever. "i want my daddy's records"

so Saban is worse than blind jelly since he couldn't get to double digit wins in his last season with that team he had?

There is a big difference between grumbling fans and "The Hot Seat". Fans grumbled in 2003 and 2007, too. national Championship teams. Fans bitch and moan about everything. The AD and Chancellor have to unhappy with Les for him to be on the hot seat and he just ain't.

Who are we going to get that is better? LSU is not going to pull an Auburn and replace a winning coach with a losing coach, just because the fans are grumbling.

Miles has done better in recruiting, OOC play, bowl games, overall record.. and matched Sabans NC record.

    WTF more do people want?

They want to keep this program at a ultra high level.

    I do for sure.

Back to back 4 or more loss seasons is not acceptable with the talent we have. Coaching will be to blame.

I expect 3 or fewer losses this year.

You need to put the pipe down and back away slowly. Miles in 5 seasons has been to 2 SECCG's, won 1 SECC, won 1 NC, undefeated in 20'some OOC games, won 5 bowl games (against better talent then the 04' Hawkeyes Saban lost to) and is over 80% in win percentages... there's NO way he's on the hot seat even if we lose from here on out. If that was the case... then LSU couldn't pull anyone with a grain of talent to coach this team.
UF is imo, the only real loss we'll incurr if we play to our ability. Our D is getting better and i'm sure tackling is being worked on. Every position will get better. Bama, Ole Miss and UGA will be tough games... but if this was an easy sport than there'd be 10 NC's every year. Yeah sure we could lose every game... but it won't happen. We'll finish with a 10-2 or 9-3 season this year...
But JJ is the man, Shep is too... and our D will get lights out better. Everything is working on a new system... the next 2-3 seasons... LSu will be very very nasty... we could do it all this year... with the talent level alone we have, but we are young. And our youth will pay huge dividends in the season s to come.
Don't expect the UF game to eb a blow out either... I think we lose that game but Florida won't score more than 30.

I'll say this too, keep an eye on UW vs USC today. If they show up like they did for LSU it could get interesting. You may see LSU in a little different light later tonight.

This thread is absurd and a complete waste of time that I can never regain.

    Westcoast, I'm disappointed in you.

Instead of coaches on the hotseat, or fans chomping at the bit for a coach to be on the hotseat, can we just replace some of our so-called "fans" instead??

I bet alot of these predictions will change if the huskies beat the trojans and/or if the vols beat the gators.

I say 8-4 with a respectable bowl game, which is a decent season.

Sadly, a lot of people here obviously view a season with more than 2 losses grounds for dismissal. :dis:
