no biggie. Bottom line, I don't like him as a coach. I don't hate the man, from all accounts he seems like a really stand up guy. I don't agree with his coaching philosophy, sue me. I hope like hell he finds a way and true an ugly win is better than a pretty loss any day however "expectations" should be a little bit more reasonable. Not undefeated seasons, not MNC every year. If clock management, sound defense, aggressive offense and a disciplined football team is irrational, delusional, moronic, or any of the other stuff that has been spit out here then oh well. I as welll as many others are not seeing this and that is the reason for the dissent.
We're undefeated, Sergeant. Clean your friggin' rifle and don't load it until I tell you to. If he tanks the program, you can shoot him. Until then, he's the coach and you salute him. Carry on. Les is more like owning an Edsel and driving it like a 'Vette. It works for him. It worked for Cholly Mac, too.
Hey Tusk I found this picture of you from the time you met sylvester Croom..thought you might want it for your scrap book...
Dude you can lump me with some crowd that thinks Miles does no wrong(they don't exist), but you have clearly joined the crowd of "Miles can do no right". To claim our team looked like a sandlot team(you did), shows that you see everything as a negative and are completely unrealistic and unbalanced. Wanting a coaching change is completely different. You have crossed over into delusion and your arguments are no longer respected as they are emotionally based. If you were capable of mitigating your criticisms to reality and control your dislike of this coach, I would take you seriously in this regard. I am perfectly capable of laying blame at Miles' feet, and do. I am perfectly capable of pointing out the shortcomings of the team, and do. But I am also capable of giving credit to the players and coaches when they do it right. You cannot.
blah blah blah blah What are you talking about? 90% of the wins are because of the pure talent that is on the field. Man do you ever have this wrong. Lets just agree to disagree and leave it at that.
Who put the talent there? Recruiting is part of coaching. You seem to think that we can upgrade the coach easily and that the recruiting will just go along as it is. But it doesn't. Dinardo was a good coach who couldn't recruit. You want to go back there?
Good grief what is with you two knuckleheads today. I said I want the team to be better. Yes they are 1-0 great, yes it is only 1 game I know it is early. My point is it looked a whole lot like the last two years and I don't like that. If miles can turn it around great, wonderful, he is the best. Tell me what is wrong with wanting discipline, sound defense, and a productive offense? What is so effing crazy about that? Next you two are going to tell me that it is already there.
The best thing you have posted so far. Why don't you make this your stock post? "blah blah blah, I don't like Miles, blah blah." Because that is how it comes out. Really? Is that how it worked at Notre Dame? They had class after class in the top 5 under Charlie. And a pretty pathetic schedule also. How did that work out? And if the talent gets 90% of the wins, what difference does it make who is the coach? Obviously he has little or no impact. According to you.
Have you ever heard Aesop's fable about the dog and the bone, amigo? Yes, I get frustrated by imperfection from the tigers, but I do not lose sight of the fact that LSU, with all of its warts and blemishes, is envied by 95% of the teams in the country because, while imperfect, LSU and its head coach are successful. We might have to go through Curley, Larry, and Moe again before we find another keeper.
