This, I expect the defensive "genius" that is "chief" to bring the same intensity on 3rd down that he does on 1st and 2nd. I expect him to figure out how to put the extremely talented kids we have on the field into the right position to stop a simple slant pass. I expect whoever is calling the plays to sharpen their crayons and figure out how to come up with something that works... consistiently and use it, More than ONCE. I expect the HC to know how much time is on the clock and how many time outs he has in his possession and when is the best time to use them. He does get paid a lot of money to know these things. Most importantly I expect this team that is loaded with talent to look that way instead of looking like a pick up team from the local sandlot.
If that is what you saw Saturday then I expect you will be bitching quite a bit this year. Enjoy.
Too early to tell but it wasn't what you would expect from a few years of consistient top five recruiting classes. You can't tell me that you saw anything different.
I can tell you anything I damn well please. And I can laugh at you for equating the performance Saturday night with a sandlot team. And I will continue to do so. Enjoy your misery.
See, that is exactly the point. There is no misery here. 2 years ago yeah sure but not now because I don't expect what I know will not be produced. I had made a post a day or so ago that got lost in the move to tigerfan. I will make it again here and now. At the half of last weeks game I walked across the house to where all the OU fans were watching their game. The conversaition went something like this: Them: Hey holmes, at least your team is taking care of business. Me: haha, you don't watch much LSU football, it will be a nail biter in the end. Now, either I'm a prophet but beings I missed the damn powerball again this week I'm thinking this isn't it, OR I've seen this show before and I know the ending. I love this LSU team like I've loved all that have come before it and all that will come in the future. I've not lost all hope for Les and his staff but they are on very thin ice. So much so their ankles are wet.
