Wow, I think this call is getting more media attention than the PP7 no-interception call vx. Bama did! Twitter is ablaze with it, blogs and sports magazines jumping on it like fleas on a wild dog.
I watched the replay with a bunch of non-LSU fans out here on the left coast. None of these people like LSU, and they like to give me crap whenever they can. It's all in fun, though. Still, to a man, all of them thought the call was bogus. Watching in real speed, you couldn't even see it. It was like a split-second flinch from Wing. No way should that have caused the loss of a TD via penalty. To a man, they all agreed that the rule sucks. At worst, they said, 15 yard penalty tacked on the kickoff.
I feel for the kid. Taunting your opponent is practically compulsory in Australian sports - a tough habit to break when you're about to score possibly the only TD of your career.
I'm a puritan I like the rule. It is designed to keep players from shaking their pelvis in the ensone.
Maybe he was looking back at the players to see how far away they were from him??? I guess the refs didn't think about that.
yeah, right. you have 60 posts. if you're an lsu fan, where have you been? just happened to start posting around the florida game? so, i don't know the rules? that's funny.
When this happened did anyone else have the thought that we should have seen it coming, that LSU would be the first team to get stung by this new rule?
