I don't know . . . If we ran a "Caption this photo" thread, there would be a lot of taunting responses.
i havent read the whole thread, so i apologize if this has been mentioned, but... if the penalty was so awful, why did the refs obviously have to think about it before calling it? he scored, they made the pat, and then it was called. if it was so blatant, why wasnt it immediately called, instead of waiting until after the pat?
two things. one, i agree with i was waiting for it against bama. altho god only knows what mysterious and little used calls we will get there. two. now that i have read the thread, i see it doesnt have to be egregious. just taunting. however, still, it was not called immediately....:insane:
I was just re-watching the game, and you absolutely CANNOT see the arm movement in real time. It's only in slow motion. I rewound the DVR three times and can't see it. Okie, perhaps, they were watching in slow mo in the box & called it down to the field. I really don't know.
On inside LSU football in geaux zone, the camera that was on that side of the field caught it in regular motion but it was soooo quick.... =S Wing in an interview apologised to the team and to the Florida players/team that it was NOT his intent to showboat/taunt, just that his emotions got away from him; said he dreams every night of getting into the end zone. Very sincere about it.
No, there was no PAT played. It was called back immediately. Perhaps confusion because the punt had to be done again because of the flag/penalty for illegal formation or something. UF would have been better off declining the penalty and taking it at the ten, but, as they say, hindsight is 20-20, and Tigers ended up with a 'do-over' and a first down on the 23 after the taunt penalty.
I thought he was just getting ready to celebrate his TD then suddenly saw those two Florida players closing in and had to tuck and run in. I didn't think he was taunting. And it wasn't egregrious.
