IIRC, Jai admitted that he either was not prepared or had not been prepared. Now. there are no doubts that he possess the athletic ability to compete in the SEC. Mental preperation is just as important however, if not more important than physical ability. I just have to believe that our coaches will recruit players that learn from their mistakes, including being mentally prepared for games. Jai has had an entire offseason to improve himself and I feel than any player who comes through this proram will be given the tools necessary to mentally prepare for his position and the upcoming season.
So am I . The problem with the former resident of Portland is that, for the exception of any John Brady discussion, he takes pains to be the voice of dissent.
Jai was told by the coaches the week before the UK game that he would not see any action. He admitted that, because of what he was told, he did not prepare for the game. Give the guy a break. He had a bad game for which he wasn't prepared. That doesn't make him some talentless slob.
He gets on the field for the last OSU drive in the BCS national championship game and ,Eugene and Hawkins made OSU's passing game look like the 49ers of the 80's.Montana to Rice ....Montana to Taylor...Montana to Rice ...Montana to Taylor...Montana to Rice ...touchdown time elapsed ...50 seconds...
no not 0-12 ..we play some teams that can't throw....lol Seriously though, you can talk about the tiger o and d lines and them being dominant ...I am with ya. you can talk about the wide recievers and running backs and how talented they are..i am with ya... you can talk about our qb situation and how if our qb doesn't lose the game we will be okay there ...i am with ya there ,too. but our liinebackers except for Beckwith i am worried about ,Cutrera supposedly is going to be on the field a lot and last year he was a liability every time he was on the field... And the same goes for our corners ...the starters are gone..and last years backups could have been named Melba and Burnt ...as in TOAST.
