first two are links to the audio (actual bite from the interview)

Ex-Dolphin Heath Evans tells jaw-dropping story of uncaring coach Nick Saban | Audio - South Florida Sun-Sentinel.com

this one is a link to the transcript of the interview:

SPORTSbyBROOKS » Evans: Saban “Stepped Over Convulsing Player”

basically says Saban walked over a player in need of immediate medical attention and then later tried to justify it at a team meeting. also talks about how the word was that Saban had a policy where his staff couldn't speak to him unless spoken to. Evans says Saban "showed no human emotion," that "ultimately he doesn’t really care about any of us players," referred to Saban as "narcissistic" and concluded: "The guy’s an amazing football coach at the college level. How he gets it done isn’t my style of coaching or teaching. But ultimately, the guy’s got some ways about him that I’m just like, ‘Are you human?’ I think he might be a robot."

Evans had an 11-year NFL career, the last two with the Saints where he won a Super Bowl. before the Saints, he played four years for the Patriots, including the Patriots 16-0 team

Evans is know for his devout Christianity, for example

This doesnt surprise me one bit. I suspect thats why Saban's players sometimes play "tight" on the biggest stage. No doubt he's great at X's & O's but when it comes to getting the very best out of an athlete you need more than that. At the highest level everyone has talent, 80% of the time the "happier" more relaxed athlete wins. i.e. M.Jordan and U.Bolt they had fun while doing their thang. I feel like Miles makes it fun for his team.:tigereye:

We need to print that article up and start sending it to the home of every potential alabama recruit.

Awww cmon now .. Don't you find it's just a little bit suspisious that Jeno James played at the cow college and that Heath Evans played at the cow college.. Didn't Nick also cut his sorry arse from the team as well.. could be some sour grapes.. maybe that's why it took him 5 years to finally get the nerve to come forward with this claim.....

    Get real.

He has a Super Bowl ring and has already moved on to other things besides football. There's no motive to make that up. If he did, then that's a hell of a lot of sour grapes to hold onto for 6 years.

Maybe. I doubt Heath Evans has an agenda though. If it was someone else saying it I would be a little more hesitant to believe it. Heath Evans is saying this, not Jeno James. It's not a big surprise about Saban being less than courteous or even likable. And Heath Evans, at no point in his football career, sucked.

Well this is not the same coach that I have watched in practice the last 3 years. Yes he is strictly business on the ball field but he does develop close bonds with his players. He represented LSU the same way that he does BAMA. say what you will but we all know that LSU would have rather kept him . He is a a great coach and great coahes always carry a target on thier back. Untill I hear one of his recruits complain I will continue drinking the Sabanade !!!!! Roll Tide and I'll see yall on the 9th

You're right. It's the beginning of a vast right-wing media conspiracy against Saban.
