It ain't about snaps. It's about series. JL got more snaps because he got more out of his "series" than the other guy.
Understand that a drive where JLee lead the offense all the way down the field and then JJ was put in for a goal line play which LSU scored on; I count that as a TD drive that JLee lead since he took them 79 of the 80 yards. I also agree that CLM is traumatized by the Pick 6's of 2 years ago; But JJ is giving us nothing as a QB. Let him gain 20 pounds and become a TE. I want everyone to understand that it's not that I'm so high up on JLee. It's because our team is 7-0 that I bring up the JJ complaints. People, we're on the verge of making a NC run, THIS YEAR. Every decision is a huge one. It's not about being negative, or hating Miles, or anything like that. I want LSU to win out and take us to our second NC under Miles. And it's because of this that I criticize our team's flaws. Everyone sitting back and saying "we're 7-0 just be happy." You're falling into the same trap that people say Miles does. Being reactive instead of proactive. Once we lose, then you'll complain? Isn't that too late? I'd rather look at our flaws now and try and fix them BEFORE they cost us a game.
"Everyone sitting back and saying "we're 7-0 just be happy." You're falling into the same trap that people say Miles does" I dont think ANY of us are saying that, we ALL want better more polished performances. My point (and some of my fellow "Sunshine Pumpers") who are called Idiots and dont know football because we dont Miles to be fired is what is bothersome. Yes I want JL to play more, but I also realize if you look at this season as a whole. LSU fans have little to bitch about except the QB position. The "Fire Miles Now" threads, and "Miles is an idiot" when I look around and I see UF, Miami, Ohio State, Bama, on and on an on. Losing games, I think. Yeh LSU can improve but geez. Firing a coach with the BEST winning percentage in LSU history, 22-11 against ranked teams, and 7-0 this year (First time since 73) and we are wanting to Fire him ???? Sure does he make mistakes ? Sure, who doesnt. Bama struggled against lowly Ole Miss yesterday, 21 pt favs, won by what 13 ? after losing last week to a team who lost to UK. Then people complain about our UF win because Miss State beat them. Yet NEVER mentioned the pretty good beat down LSU put on Miss State... We could very well lose to Auburn next week, and you know I will say. Well its the SEC, it happens. Lets get ready for the next one.
I wasnt referring to you directly, but look around there is plenty of "Fire Les Miles" and "Miles is an idiot" posts. I guess the issue is. Those of us who DONT want Miles Fired are all "Ignoring facts" and are "Football idiots" because we are not smart enough to see Miles "Is not using our amazing talent" No we realize we have some issues at the QB level, we also realize that maybe Lee as a the primary guy DOESNT work (As we have seen already) and also realize as much as we all want Lee, he is no Joe Montana. I (I speak for myself) came to the conclusion this is what we got at QB. Miles is NOT an idiot, he doesnt game plan to lose and penalties, etc Yes he is a bit Zany, but hey we are Louisiana. We are Zany. I dont miss Nick Sabans "YOu fans are stupid" speeches and condescending talks to the fan base. I am sure glad we dont have Meyer with his off putting behavior and multiple arrests and thugs. I am pretty happy, would I love for us to win every game by 50. Sure. But do I also realize it will never happen in the SEC and we WILL lose a game or two this year.... Sure and we will still have a better season than 95% of college football teams...
It's not so much that the team played down to the level of competition as it is a horrible wasted opportunity by the coaching staff. WTF are they thinking? This should have been an extended practice session to get Lee and the passing game ready for AU. Instead it turned into a conservative just survive game plan and more proof that JJ should not be on the field at any time.
It's weird because this is almost exactly how I feel. It's not that I want Miles fired. I just wish he'd be a bit more flexible with actually starting the player that's playing the best. The difference is I have no problem criticizing our team even after a win because we still need to make adjustments if we're going to win the rest of our games.
Yeh but if Urban Meyer was coaching LSU they would have only scored 10, 13 including the overtime win.
The truth is nobody is going to relax, and that's to be expected. Thats where we are at this point in history. We've had the 'Me' decade and other decades I predict this one will be known as the "Your an F-ing idiot because you don't think like me decade'. It's true of most parts of society that involve social interaction. Politics, sports, relationships, driving cars, and rules of society. The funny part is that most people believe we are more tolerant; which we are as long as "they" see things the right way - my way. Really funny. Truth be told there are some fans that if LSU lost out they would find the positive and say "look at his complete work and give Les another chance". And there are those that if LSU became an undefeated :crystal: holder they would say "That's great, the players came through in spite of stupid coaching, let's replace this dummy so we can repeat". And if LSU ends up somewhere in the middle, which is the most likely result of the season, then both sides will grow in number and intensity. I predict the season's biggest winner will be Tigerfan.com; because no matter what happens the 'discussion' will grow. And if you disagree with one word of what I just stated you are obviously a F-ing Idiot.:thumb:
I definitely agree. LSU just seems to play up or down to their opponents. We'll know more about both the defense and the offense after Saturday afternoon. But you gotta admit. That was a troubling game.
