This spin is crap! No one needs LSU to CRUSH anyone! Do you have any idea how much money is spent on recruiting the caliber of talent at LSU? A win is a win MY ASS!!!
Where did I ever say that I was miserable we won by 22? When have I ever said the phrase "we aren't winning by enough". Go read the game thread and you'll see that I actually said just the opposite. Weird stuff happens that keeps the game closer than it should be sometimes. We spotted McNeese all 10 of those points. My issue isn't the score we won by. It's the fact that Miles is continuing to go 50/50 with the snaps and actually slowing down JLee's progression as a QB. I also have issue with more dumb penalties killing drives and turnovers. After seeing what Auburn did yesterday, everyone should have some concern about this. Maybe you shouldn't assume you know why I'm complaining, you know what they say assuming makes you look like. . .
Wow, 7-0 for the first time since 1973 and you can't be happy about anything? The genius in Gainesville has 3 losses with as much talent according to the rankings. The genius in Tuscaloosa has 1 loss with more talent according to the rankings and lost to the genius in Columbia who just lost to Kentucky and previously to Arkansas. Next someone will spew "I don't care about the other teams" The bitching about our team is a direct result of comparing them to other teams...:geaux:
Are you sure it was 50/50? I have not seem official stats, but it seemed JLee got a majority of them, just like he has in the prior 2 games.
I finally got around to crunching the numbers. I posted in another thread but I'll post it here as well I guess. With JJ leading the offense in the past 3 games he's lead our team to: 3 FG, 1 TD, 6 Punts, 4 Turnovers. 1 drive where JJ's pass was caught and fumbled, didn't count. With JLee leading the offense in the past 3 games he's lead our team to: 1 FG, 9 TD, 5 Punts, 1 Turnover. 2 FG attempt that was missed that JLee had QB'd the drive, didn't count. As far as Lee getting more snaps, that has more to do with JJ getting so many 3 and outs. The actual split on drives was 5 drives lead last night by JJ and 7 lead by Lee. JJ had 3, 3 and out series last night. JLee had 1 and that was the series where there was a no call PI on TT and the Shepard pass was called back due to a downfield lineman. Instead of Miles subbing the QB's every other series it seems he was subbing them every 2 series. Still think JJ saw 5 series too many in the game last night. As far as the previous two games; I don't know about Tenn, but against Florida JJ had 41 snaps to JLee's 30 snaps.
We get it - you don't like LSU - nothing this LSU team does pleases you. Who do you like - Bama, maybe OSU or is it Oklahoma? ldskule:
7-0 Overall record...AWESOME!!! 4-0 SEC record...AWESOME!!! Top 10 ranking...AWESOME!!! Starting JJ...STUPID!!! Playing JJ...STUPID!!! Running the "option"...STUPID!!! I'm afraid we'll never realize the potential of this team because we continue to play a QB (now up to 20 starts) who has never / will never be a quality player. Most of the "JJ is the best QB" crowd has changed their opinion. There are a few holdouts and they like to make comments like "well, JL didn't look good either". Get over it. JJ sucks and JL gives us the best opportunity to win. PERIOD!
9 TDs to 1 TD is glaring, especially considering the tendency to put JJ back in in goal line situations (which is so frustratingly predictable). And, that is a good point about the breakdown of total snaps possibly being related to JJs 3 and outs, and JLee's more sustained drives. I still think the trauma of the pick sixes is causing CLM/CGC to still take him slowly through the process of more and more PT, and eventually transitioning to a starter. Clearly, you make a convincing statistical case that JLee should be our starting QB.
