You said Rivals, Rivals, Rivals. Its so close within the top 3 its not really debatable. The wild card is coaching and development.
So pointing out Bama's success on Rivals is counterproductive to your point. If you dont want to tell the truth, I will.

Personally, I like the fact that Bama is poised to be on a roll because the better they are...the better we will become. I really think competition brings out the best in LSU as a team and the best in us as fans. If we were in the Pac10 instead of the SEC we probably wouldn't be as good as we were for the last 10 years. Competition does that to you. It gives you purpose, will, desire, focus and ...most of all dedication. All of which are necessary for achieving the highest goals.

Winning the national championship as a team goal is a realistic expectation in the SEC west, but is a mere pipe dream in the other conferences.

Realistic, lofty goals are one thing, but great competition propels you there.

Best post in thread. I agree with the exception of one thing, competition isn't creating better LSU fans.

Wow, a bama fan who thinks that we're blessed with the most talent but because of SuperNick, they come out on top.

    I've never heard that before

the funny thing is i keep hearing how difficult it was to watch LSU despite so much talent but down the line i would say
    QB-UF
    RB-Bama
    WR-Bama
TE-Fla (probably b/c ours was absent)
    OL- Bama/UF push
    DL Bama/UF push
LB- as a unit Bama but UF was no slouch
Secondary- this is the only spot where LSU can claim a 3 way tie but honestly once you go down from peterson, it's a big drop off, jones was too inconsistent a great athlete who was out of position more often than not.

how far off is this assessment of comparitive talent?

now that he's mastered your/you're you think he's ready to take the apostrophe out of "see's"?? i have faith in him. bama's on a roll.

look out, they've got football down, english language, you're next!!!!!!!!!!!

i still have to give LSU the nod as far as receivers go. I like Julio just a little better than Lafell, i think Lafell is a much better route runner, at this point, and I like Toliver better than Maze, and i couldn't even tell you who Bama's number 3 is. At tight end i think LSU was more talented, Peterson is going to be a beast, and Dickson just wasnt used. Other than that i agree with everything else.

    yep I 10-4 that 100%

Bama is just a place I don't want to go and could care less who they have for a coach !

I know I want to beat them once a year and that is about it!!

If things don't work out for Les and the gang in this football thing next year, I'm thinking maybe we could enroll in one of 99's special English classes.

I'm hopeful his students can somehow benefit through positive reinforcement, though that Avatar leads me to believe were talking sesame street with an edge.

I just dont see why people can't just move on.

Up's and Down's come and go.

None of the cry'ing and moaning is gonna change anything. In fact, WE SHOULD WANT MILES TO RIGHT THE SHIP. I hope and think Miles can make things right in 2010. He isnt going anywhere for the next 2 years so just suck it up and hope for the best.

WE are just FANS, what we THINK WE KNOW is just speculation on what really happened or has happened. Yea, Miles has his own issues, but so does every coach and some coaches fix it and some don't.

Love your team and love the game and if the coach pisses you off that bad, then stop wasting your time and money on LSU.
