Harrington Immelman Yang McDowell Oosthuizen Kaymer Schwartzel McIlroy Clark (has been god awful since the British Open, like Amateur level awful) McIroy hasn't been awful but that magic perfect swing hasn't been so magical since the US Open. The media keeps propping up Kaymer and I don't see anything special in his game.
yeah, but too early to count out Schwartzel on that list. dude looks like the real deal. of the 11 players to miss the cut in all 4 majors, he has the best overall score with all 4 added together, and obviously won the Masters. that's consistency. and I would not include Harrington. i think he has won 3 majors. just hasn't done much in the last year. hell, Toms hadn't done anything in 10, and he is having a great year. Harrington may just be hanging out with his family a lot, or may be injured, who knows. agree with a lot of the others.
Harrington has been pretty mediocre for the past 2 years at least. I know it's early to call on McIlroy but Nicklaus was right when he said it's nowhere near time to crown this kid after he had won the US Open.
Schwartzel has played well all year. Immelman has been injured the last two years and Kaymer and Harrington have been undergoing swing changes. I doubt Harrington will ever really bounce back but Kaymer will. McDowell will still be elite and obviously McIlroy will too.
