When I was watching the Saints and Bucs I was saying to myself, if this bastard lets Shepard throw one and he completes it, people are gonna freak. Luckily he didn't.
I just don't see the point of taking a guy that only has one year of eligibility. Especially when it makes the guys we have sit the pine and waste a year of their eligibility. The best thing I can hope for at this point, is Harris shows up this spring and separates himself from Jennings.
Harris wasted a year of eligibility this season. Miles should have redshirted him if he wasn't going to play him. I also think one year of eligibility worked pretty good for Russell Wilson and Wisconsin. LSU needs a QB and they need one now! Do you really want to pass on this guy hoping that one of the two that sucked this year are going to be ready next year? You have that much confidence in this staffs ability to develop QBs? If Golston comes and either AJ or Harris is better Golston sits, nothing lost. But if neither guy develops at least you have another option.
Those are good points! And yes, we do need a QB. It's really a damned if you do, damned if you don't, type of situation. From the players perspective, I would think it would be demoralizing thing to have an "outsider" come in and take the job you're supposed to do. From the coaches perspective, they are being paid to win football games. Just a shitstorm waiting to happen!!!
