SS screws up in his time management....two or three bad choices....it cost SC the game most likely. Yes, they are on his arse, but most times they are saying something like: 1) SS has been taking clock management classes at night...but the class was taught by Les Miles 2) If it had not been for the visor, I would have sworn that LM was on the sidelines coaching I WOULD LOVE TO SEE CLM HAND SS HIS ASS........AGAIN Just wondering if LM's SEC coaching record (compared to SS) is better. Not titles or total wins...Just %. How do you insult someone that is already called a cock?
It's the typical sports media template. Nobody has an original thought ever, and they will take one thing, whip the horse until it's dead and run it into the ground. Csse in point is this "Mad Hatter" nickname they're determined to run with. Nobody in the LSU fan base calls him this, yet it's all you hear. It's entirely a media creation. Watching the FSS coverage of McNeese I almost started a drinking game based around the number of times "Mad Hatter" was uttered. Then I realized half of our group would die from alcohol poisoning. As for the time management, you didn't hear too many sportscasters cracking jokes when competent clock management won the Florida game for us. If we go into Auburn and shut down their top-rated offense and Heisman hopeful and come out with a win, you'll see fewer laughs still. Winning tends to solve a lot of these problems.
What Spurrier did was totally inexcusable. He is not anywhere near the head coach he was in the 90s. He's actually pretty bad.
I agree with you.SS did screw up the clock mgmt. and probably cost SC the game. But living here in SC among all these SS brainwashed fans,I never hear them speak of him in a critical way.Spurrier could punch someone's grandma at midfield at halftime and 82,000 "Spur Heads" would swear the old lady pulled a knife on him!!!!!
Maybe I'm completely lost but didn't South Carolina suck before he got there, If so how is he such a horrible coach. At least they are winning a good bit, they just have a hard time after big wins, which is the coaches fault somewhat, but they weren't even getting in those positions before he became coach.
HELL NO !!!!!!!!!! THAT WON'T WORK.....I'LL EAT A CORNDOG WITH MUSTARD AND KETCHUP IN A HEARTBEAT......THERE IS NOT A CONDIMENT MADE FOR THE OTHER.........:rofl::rofl: AT LEAST, AS FAR AS I'M CONCERNED..........:thumb: We will leave that for our "resident" pickle kisser ex-spurt and present Toolame student..........:rofl::rofl::rofl: Could not resist my good buddy (well, not that good of a buddy) Yeah....you owe me a good insult.
To answer your question, wikipedia sez that Les Miles is 86-36 (0.70), and Spurrier is 181-69 (0.72) all time. Les Miles is 42-11 at LSU (0.79). Spurrier is 28-22 at USC (0.56). Strictly against SEC opponents will take a while. Edit: Since 2005, against SEC teams CLM and CSS are as follows: CSS is 20-24 (45.45%) CLM is 32-14 (69.57%) Be advised that CLMs record is affected by two SEC championship games in 2005 and 2007 (a loss to UGA and a win against UT).
Bullchit. Spurrier has been there plenty long enough to develop his own identity. Here it is...and this is what is HAS been for a while now. They start off both guns blazing, with the media...and PLENTY of SEC fans...claiming this is the year Spurrier and the cocks win the SECE. Then, just like clockwork, the team falls apart. You don't have to go far to research this. Search this forum, and you'll see this prognastication right here...for the past several years. It happened every time...just as I suspected would be the case.
