This may be as close to ripping a new one as you will ever see Dandy Don get.

Dandy Don?s LSU Recruiting and Sports News - LSU Football and More!

For the few of you who don't read his blog, he's a perennially nice guy. Always upbeat. A great fan, usually well informed and widely read. Was surprised to see him using the term "laughing stock".

Mr. Long is very level headed, but I wouldn't say I'm surprised to see him like this. He doesn't do it harshly, but he speaks poorly of Les plenty.

Just finished reading that... Having Dandy Don come down on you is not good. Good ol' Dandy is the last person I would expect to say anything bad about the LSU coaching staff. However, we do have the dumbest coach in the NCAA.

I really wish I could have been in that room when Les interviewed for this job. Did he have someone speak for him or what?

2010 will probably turn into the 2009 season. Remember last year when we beat Georgia on the road to become 5-0? Compare that to yesterday's Tennessee game. LSU will probably drop 4 of their last 8 games.... again.

I’ve often wondered about that. Did Skip get back at LSU football for baseball always playing second fiddle to football for decades, because when he hired Miles, he couldn’t have hired a more incompetent coach?

Nope. As Fish said, Double D is not a big fan of Miles, but he is a big fan of LSU. There's a lesson there.

Clearly we have a problem at head coach if DD is down on him. Don is one of the most tolerant, optimistic fans we have.

That was my first thought, except the defense seems to be a lot better this year. I don't think we'll lose as many games this time around.

I hope not -- we're much better on D, and the ST can be a game changer in our favor. Running game is much better as well. As many have said previously on this forum, we just need a QB who can manage the game, minimize mistakes, and drive the team downfield when we need it. I can't see us losing 4 of the last 8...

To be honest, i really could give two chits what other people think of this team.

No matter what problems LSU has, Purple and Gold will forever be apart of my life..

With that said, it would be nice to dominate teams again..... :)

Wish I was still living in Lafayette. I'd go hang out with Don. (I think he still hangs out at CCs.)
