Didn't see this mentioned yet. Did anybody see the close out of College Football Gameday at around midnight with Reece, Lou, and Mark? Mark had a white LSU hat sitting high on his head to start, but the sign off, Reece put the hat on very high on his head and said his best Les Miles impressioned voice, "Have a great day" as he hand gestured toward the camera. It's pretty funny and Holtz and Maye really liked it too.
Corso put on the buckeye mascot head. All three ESPN analysts picked OSU to win, Blackledge, Corso, and Herbstreit. It was funny, they all pretty much said that LSU had the better athletes, but expected OSU to win, because of all the guff they had put up with since last year, about being too slow, and this year, they'd know what to expect. They were all wrong.
I have a new found respect for May. He pretty much calls it how he sees it. It doesn't seem like he is persuaded by the other talking heads. Anyway he stuck to his guns and was right. Holtz and Corso have been infected with SFB, it's sad to see someone slowly lose control of their thought process. :milesmic: :LSU231: :geauxtige :crystal: :crystal: :crystal:
Granny spent most of the time spouting nonsense as usual trying not to have to admit he's an idjit. May basically said even he was surprised mostly by LSU secondary as he thought OSU big an fast receivers would find openings, but that was not the case. He stated Dbacks gave them no room to breath and ran with them every step of the way. Aside from that I think he mentioned something to the fact that speed was not the issueas everyone thought, LSU just lined up and basically took it to OSU and they had no answer for the Dline or offensive formations LSU threw at them. As for Corso at least he had the ummph to admit he was wrong. He mentioned that at the beginning of the season he had LSU all the way and somewhere along the line he started to drift or as I think he put it let himself be influenced by others. He chose OSU, was wrong and LSU was far superior to OSU. I like how he turned to Herby who then spouted out "That is you not me, lets talk about next season where USC will start off no doubt as the number 1 preseason favorite". I couldn't belive he was saying that on the Tigers night. Was Corso back tracking, sure, but at least he made amends where Granny did anything he could to side track his stupidness. B
Cowherd said that out of the 16 guys that cover college football for ESPN only 2 picked LSU and he was one of them.
Anybody have the video clip of the Reece/May/Holtz postgame show? I assume Mark May was the only other ESPN talking head to go with LSU?
